An attempted robbery and firing incident caused a commotion in Mahamayatala of Garia during the afternoon hours. The incident resulted in the arrest of one miscreant who was found in possession of a weapon.
According to police reports, a group of four miscreants arrived on two motorcycles. They swiftly snatched the bag belonging to Shyamoli Chakraborty, a resident of ward number 32 of Rajpur Sonarpur Municipality under the jurisdiction of Narendrapur police station, and fled the scene. The bag contained Rs 700 in cash along with some important documents.
The miscreants targeted Chakraborty, presuming she had just left a bank and had money in her possession. Police are actively pursuing the remaining suspects, with one individual already arrested and undergoing interrogation.
